Levy & Grant
As an employer, to claim grant you must first register with ConstructionSkills.
Construction businesses are supported by ConstructionSkills in training their workforce: -
Focus on
Levy
For construction to continue thriving, we need a fully trained, skilled workforce.
To help make this happen the industry and Government ask ConstructionSkills to collect an annual levy from all liable construction employers.
This levy can then be used for training the workforce and help build the industry's long term future.
Grant
To help find the grants that will best suit your company's needs, we have organised them into sections based on who needs to train - new recruits, existing employees or your business as a whole.
Grants to support apprentices
Your employees are the key to the success of your business. If you want to boost productivity - get the job done safer, quicker, better - it's important to build a strong training culture. Your workers can take two routes in order to gain their qualifications.
Qualifying Your Existing Workforce
Your employees are the key to the success of your business. If you want to boost productivity - get the job done safer, quicker, better - it's important to build a strong training culture. Your workers can take two routes in order to gain their qualifications.
Plant Operator Grants
More and more clients and employers are insisting plant operators prove they are trained and competent. The CPCS card proves they have the skills, training and practical experience to do their job. It's their "Licence to operate".
Technical, Management and Professional
The broader your workers' range of skills, the more you can bring to the construction project you are working on. With a diverse and highly skilled team you can start to take on bigger and better jobs.
Achieving a Qualified Workforce
By becoming an instructor you can help to promote the value of training to those coming through the ranks. It's a great chance to give something back to the industry - without necessarily taking you away from site.
Developing Your Business
With a Training and Development Plan in place you can claim grants for training in many disciplines that will benefit the whole of your business, it may even guide you towards an Investers in People (IiP) achievement. There is also limited support available for Short Duration off-the-job training.
Other Financial Support
In addition to the Grants Scheme, ConstructionSkills also provides financial support.
